On Sunday, June 30, we attended the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow, MT.  Such a lovely little church.
The small church struggles with attendance but it was a lovey and meaningful service in spite of the small crowd. Ironically, we met a wonderful couple from Hot Springs, who are traveling in their motorhome, also, who were attending the service. What a small world! Bill and Cheryl Wessels are members of a Methodist group called NOMADS. If you don't know about them, google it. I think we have found our "calling".
Hungry Horse, MT was our destination, calling itself the "best dam town in the west" because of their proximity to Hungry Horse lake and dam.  We took a scenic drive around the reservoir which stretches for 35 miles through beautiful and remote country.  Most of our trip was on gravel roads - OUR kind of day trip!
Along our drive, we were treated to the rare sight of a bald eagle on its nest.  What a glorious day!
The road around Hungry Horse reservoir offered beautiful views.
Traveling beside the South Fork of the Flathead River which forms the Hungry Horse reservoir.  So beautiful!
We also took a day trip around Flathead Lake.  Located just south of Kalispell, Flathead is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi at 28 miles long and up to 15 miles wide. That’s 188 square miles!  Overlooking the lake’s sparkling blue waters and miles of tree-lined shore are the magnificent Swan and Mission mountain ranges.
