The park, established in 1980, is larger than the states of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island combined!
Still winter time here. Notice the black clouds moving in.
Vast and beautiful.
Because of the heavy spring snowmelt, the rivers here are wide with many rivulets.
It seems that the only way to really see this national park is from the air.
The park is filled with towering peaks, expansive braided rivers, spectacular sparkling lakes, and lots of terrain for the park's large wildlife population.
Mountains - everywhere you look.
And beautiful lakes.
