As we approached the feeding area, we could see bears everywhere. At one time, I counted 15 bears in the area.
Until you get up close and personal with these fellows, you don't realize how big they are. This guy would likely be eight feet tall if he stood on his hind legs.
If you look closely, you can see the salmon about 10 feet in front of the bear in hot pursuit.
The bear won.
This big guy walked by our group and paid little attention to us.
It is a good thing for the gulls that bears don't like them. This mama bear did a lot of fishing during the three hours we watched them.
Fishing is hard work. Sometimes a fellow just has to have an afternoon nap.
It was a little spooky to see the size of a bear's paw and know he was here just a few minutes ago.
Where is that slimy little sucker? I'm starving!
