On the trip over, we spotted several glaciers.
And glacial silt pouring into Cook Inlet.
And a glacial lake in the top of an old volcano.
And a pristine mountain lake.
We also saw lush valleys.
And snowy mountains all around.
We arrived with our group in two planes that landed on the beach. The tour people use the beaches for landing strips, so they can only schedule trips when the tide is out.
Our group heads out to the bear-feeding area with our trusty guide, Dave.
On the way, we spotted another tour group watching the bears. My oh my! They do get close.
