The colors of travertine are vivid and beautiful.
The Liberty Cap Terrace was named in 1871 because of its marked resemblance to the peaked caps worn during the French Revolution.
The trees at Mammoth were spectacular in their fall colors.
Another big bull, unafraid of us.
Hartford would kill for this photo!
Or this one!
These photos were taken between October 15th and 18th in 2007.  The 400 space RV park we stayed at in West Yellowstone closed the day we left.  Just about all visitors are gone by this time.  It really, really is the best time to visit this park.  Goodbye, Yellowstone.  Til next time which, coincidentally, was this year!
