For you who think Harley is mistreated . . . Yes, he has his very own chair and blankets to keep him warm.  :-)
Constructed in 1833, St. Andrews Lighthouse is the oldest remaining mainland lighthouse in New Brunswick and is commonly referred to as Pendlebury Lighthouse, the name of the family that tended the light for almost 100 years, from the 1840s to the 1930s.
St. Andrews-by-the-Sea is designated as a National Historic District, one of the oldest and loveliest in the Maritimes.
Passamaquoddy Bay pulses to a tidal rhythm that may raise water levels 28 feet or more twice a day. From low water to high water takes about 6.2 hours and in that time up to 2¼ billion tons of water will swill into the Bay through the passages. In the next 6.2 hours the water swirls out uncovering six square miles of intertidal beach to be explored for sea creatures and historical artifacts thrown up by the powerful tides
We spent Friday night, July 27 at Oak Bay Campground in St. Stephen, New Brunswick with the intent of visiting a historical chocolate factory and museum.
Ganong Brothers Chocolates is Canada's oldest candy company, founded in 1873.
Chocolate, in any form, is always good!  It was near here that we saw two women trying to carry a piece of furniture down the street.  And, being ever the Southern gentleman, Jerry stopped, loaded the furniture into the truck and drove it to their house.  What a good man he is!
