The 150-acre grounds
are always free and open to people and their dogs year-round. This
unspoiled haven is covered with hiking trails and dog ponds. Dogs are not
just welcome here, they are cherished! Hang on Dog Mountain . . . we
will be back!!!!! |

Our next visit was
to the Cabot Cheese Factory. You know we love factory visits!
One of the neat things about Cabot is that it is not owned by some big
conglomerate. They are
owned by a cooperative of 1,200 dairy farm families, located throughout
upstate New York and New England, who manufacture award-winning cheeses,
butter, Greek-style yogurt, cottage cheese, and sour cream along with
light and flavored cheddars. So, buy Cabot when you can!
You'll be helping family farmers. |
 |
Many of Cabot's
products are not distributed in Arkansas; however, we can find some of
their cheeses in local grocery stores. Needless to say, we loaded up
in the gift shop and, I have to say that their butter is the best ever! |

All over Vermont,
you see signs for Maple Creamees. This sign called for a U-turn so
we could both have one. We have sampled several across the state.
:-) New Hampshire also had them but, in that state, they just called
it maple ice cream. "Creamee" seems to be unique to
Vermont. |
 |
We had a wonderful
campsite right on the Moose River just outside St. Johnsbury, VT and near
the New Hampshire state line. |
 |
We hope to someday
return to Moose River Campground. It was one of our favorites during
the trip - beautiful and peaceful - so much so that there were a number of
RVers in the campground who return here every year to spend the summer on
the banks of the Moose. On either side of us were campers from
Florida and a retired Admiral and his wife from California????? |
 |
And now, on July 19,
we're on to New Hampshire! Live Free or Die . . . Amen! |
