And one more shot!
As there is no Methodist Church in Leadville, we chose to attend the First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, August 11.  We were wowed to find that they hold all their summer services (weather permitting) in their outdoor sanctuary.  What a treat that was!
The Reverend Peggy Marshall not only gave the sermon but presented special music, too.  Additionally, it is always a special feeling to participate in Communion with people of other denominations - a reminder that we are all God's children.
The church is perched on the side of a mountain, affording incredible views of the surrounding mountains.
Just outside Leadville is Turquoise Lake at an elevation of 9,800 feet.
Love it when we find wild raspberries!!!  Yes, I munched on a few.
The road to Hagerman Pass begins at Turquoise Lake.  We decided to make a run at it, since we have never done so before.
