The beginning of our 3-mile hike to the top of Vernal Falls.
We followed the Merced River for much of our hike.
Jer stops for a break along the Merced.
We gained 1,000 feet in elevation on this hike. There were many, many steps to climb.
Looking back at some of the many steps we climbed.
And looking up at even more steps to climb. But we're almost there!
And we made it! The view from this vantage point made it all worthwhile.
