Each 16 inch gun can fire a 2,700 pound projectile (the weight of a VW Beetle) up to 23 miles! The deck contains 4 acres of teak wood.
The USS Wisconsin is in ready reserve as part of the US Navy. Last used in 1992, the interior is off-limits to tourists and climate-controlled to protect it.
