One of the items on display was General Grant's trunk.
This flag is from the USS Ivy.  The Ivy was the first naval ship to enter Alexandria, Louisiana  where they raised the American flag and claimed it for the Union.
Robert E. Lee's bible, circa 1847.  It was found, under the ransacked wagon of Lee's belongings, four days before the surrender at Appomattox.
This beautiful painting of President Lincoln was quite captivating as we looked into his eyes and wondered about his thoughts on that day.
On our travels from Pennsylvania to West Virginia, we were struck by the beauty of the landscape and the sky.
This is our third time to visit West Virginia and, each time, we are even more struck with its beauty.
We have always wanted to visit Harpers Ferry and, by golly, we finally made it!
