Heading to the village of Ocracoke.

At one time there were many horses on Ocracoke Island. Nobody knows for sure how they got there.
The National Park Service now manages the small herd of 24 horses. This one is talking to us.
The Ocracoke Island Lighthouse is the oldest operating lighthouse in North Carolina.
