While strolling on the Anhinga Trail at the Royal Palm area, we got a rare treat.  This anhinga went fishing and caught a perch.  Here, you can see that he has the fish nailed with his top beak.
After some work, the anhinga tosses the fish and catches it in his mouth.  We were very doubtful that he would be able to swallow that whole big fish!
And, it's down the hatch!  Didn't know those skinny necks would do that.
Looking out across the grassy waters of the Everglades.  Unfortunately, it was pretty dry when we visited.
Finally - home sweet home - the Fiesta Key KOA.  This is the "beach" area of our campground.  Not really a beach but a spot on the seawall to read a good book or just be.
The view from Bubba's front window - our campsite faces Florida Bay on the Gulf side of the islands.  Yes, the water is really that color.  Amazing, huh?
About 20 miles west of our campground is the town of Marathon.  Sombrero Beach, pictured here, is located there.  Interestingly, the Keys are all surrounded by a coral reef so there are no sandy beaches.  If you find one, like Sombrero, you know it is manmade.
The afterglow of yet another beautiful sunset at Fiesta Key.
