A windmill farm in Palm Springs, California. It gives you an idea of how often and how much the wind blows here.
Not far from Palm Springs, we spent two nights at Black Rock Canyon campground in Joshua Tree National Park.
A view of our campground. It was primitive without any hookups for Bubba but the area was really pleasing to the eye.

Rock formations such as this are very prevalent in the Mohave Desert in the western part of the park. The eastern part of the park is in the Colorado Desert and is much drier and hotter.
The formations were too numerous to show them all. So, just a few pictures are included to give you a flavor of this magnificent area.
