Our first view of the Saguaro National Park and the Rincon Mountains in the background. This is the east section of the park.
They grow 'em big in this neck of the woods.  Is he talking about the cactus or Annie?
The trees in the East park looked sickly.  The literature indicated many of the old growth trees had died and the younger trees were not yet impressive.
I don't think I have ever seen so many Prickly Pear cacti in my life.  The ground was literally covered. This is Javelina Rock.
Bet you didn't know the Saguaro cactus has a woody interior spine.
Looking at a beautiful Arizona sunset from our campground in Tucson, AZ.
The trees in the West park were bigger and more plentiful.
Let your mind wander.  Imagine yourself as an old cowpoke just riding along among these magnificant plants.
