We stopped at Hector Lake on the way to Jasper.  The lakes are green because light reflects from glacial stoneflakes in the water.  Absent the stoneflakes, the water is blue.
Another of the hundreds of glaciers in this area.
Our first glimpse of a bear.  We were on our way to Jasper when this bear was spotted at the side of the road.  Bubba is too big to stop without a little planning.  Maybe a better photo next time.

Tangle Falls.  Just about everything you see is right alongside the Icefields Parkway.

The Provincial Parks charge eight dollars each night you have a fire.  They provide a central woodpile and you take as much as you need.
Jasper, Alberta is at the northern end of the Icefields Parkway and has about 5,000 permanent residents.  Canada is multilingual so signage must be in English and French.
